Now, the last image shows you (in this case) a light amount of weight putting tension on the bicep muscle, causing an isometric contraction.
Here’s where it gets interesting though…
you don’t need weights... and from this point on, we are only going to use your body weight.
Take a quick second, and put your right arm in the same position as the guy in the image above, but face your right palm towards the sky instead of holding a weight. Remember? Only Body Weight!
Now, with your left hand, put slight pressure on your right palm but don’t let your right arm move it’s position.
Feel your bicep contract? Nice! You just built strength and performed an isometric contraction…
